This time, we’re also introducing Coke La Rock，one of the founders of Hip Hop culture and the first MC.
Coke La Rock’s style is quite raw, with a focus on freestyle. Unlike modern MCs, his style didn’t involve complex rhythms or rhyme schemes. His freestyles often consisted of simple words and short phrases, with the core focus being on energizing the party and connecting the audience to the music—this was the essence of his style.
On August 11, 1973, Coke La Rock collaborated with DJ Kool Herc, and during the party, he said the iconic Hip Hop slogan: "You rock and you don't stop!"
